After a legal firms Server failed with key information needed for imminent court cases they contacted their IT support company who had long advised they needed a better server and backup system. Since this was a true emergency and required a rapid response the support company took it to what appeared to be their local Data Recovery centre in Leeds. The reality is the drives were then forwarded to Wales and after a week a bill of over £6400+vat was presented. This was far in excess of what was indicated initially and much longer than it should have taken, taking nearly a week to achieve. R3 Was contacted for a second opinion and confirmed the emergency price upfront and achieved the recovery within 24 Hrs of collection from Wales, this despite the distance between sites.
